Aaron sounded pretty tired when I talked to him this morning after a tough physical therapy session. Aaron, always the overachiever, was trying really hard and doing so well in his physical therapy that his therapist told him he "must be Superman." So he put him on this stationary bike-type machine that you turn with your arms, only he put it on a really hard setting. Aaron said making one turn with it was almost impossible, and the guy wanted him to do it for 15 minutes!
So Aaron quickly admitted that he is not, in fact, Superman, and the therapist dropped it down to a less ultrahuman setting, and all was well. Aaron said everyone can still feel free to call him Superman. I'm sure he'll be putting it on his business cards soon.
Aside from that, Aaron said he didn't think there was a lot on his agenda today except "rolling around looking for some trouble to get into." On a sad note, T.C., Aaron's buddy from Starkville who was injured when a Humvee flipped over, has been told that he can't go home just yet. It looks like it will be a few more weeks, and that is dissapointing news for him and his family, so please pray that he'll progress well and be able to go home as soon as possible. Although I'm not at the hospital now, I get the feeling there is just something intrinsically stressful about being in that environment all the time, and T.C.'s family has been there longer than ours. On a good note, Aaron said that T.C.'s girlfriend is going to come back up and visit him again now that it looks like he'll be hospitalized a little longer. Aaron has recently discovered that T.C. knows how to play the card game Spades, which is Aaron's all-time favorite card game with the possible exception of poker. So now the plan is that this weekend, Aaron and T.C. are going to teach Kelly and my mom and T.C.'s mom and his girlfriend to play spades. Then they are going to take a trip to a nearby park with picnic tables and outdoor grills, where they will grill some meat, play some cards, and just generally behave like the good ol' boys they are at heart. I'm sure that will cheer T.C. up and amuse the native residents of Maryland in the process. You can take the boys out of Mississippi, but ... well, you know.
More later today.

Aaron,
Since you have been ordered by the doctor to play video games, I thought I would let you know that this coming Tuesday, April 5, a new game is coming out that I think you would love. It's the Close Combat: First To Fight, developed especially by United States Marines whom have recently returned from Iraq. It is supposed to be one of the most realistic combat games ever and it says that they will start giving it to every Marine when he graduates boot camp to help him train for real combat situations. It will be available for X-Box and computer. I have it reserved for my computer and I'm supposed to pick it up on Tuesday. Just thought you might like to know that.Good luck teaching Kelly how to play spades, and good luck with therapy. We'll be praying for you!

Aaron and Kelly-
A little known fact about me is that I used to spend hours on Friday and Saturday nights playing "cut throat spades" when Drew, Chase and Kelly were toddlers. We went over to Tommy and Mary Stalling's house, between us, we had 6 kids running around the house while we played cards. It was cheaper than paying a sitter to watch 6 kids. Its been along time since I've played but I can assure you, when the two of you head back Jackson way-I will be ready. I will enlist the aid of my sister, Judy, who has a slightly more competive spirit than myself along with our two side kicks- Jim and Tommy and we will have ourselves a game. We will give Kristy a few quick lessons and have her join us. I am sure Memaw would make a good partner (:)) Love Ya'll Lots!!!

Aaron,
What's goin' on HERO!? The word "hero" is a term that I don't take lightly so when I use it, the person it is directed to epitomizes that word to the fullest extent. You are definitely a man that I look up to. I'm so proud of your courage and determination not to let what you would consider a small wound get you down. I hear that you are progressing by leaps and bounds and I'm sure that "by God" it will keep happening....Literally! I can't wait for you to be back in town again, and I'm really excited that you will get to come to Megan's and my wedding. We are both excited about that. Take care and I'll be praying for you!

Aaron, I am so incredibly proud of you. You are such an amazing man! I am beaming with pride to tell people you are my cousin. You are brave and bold and smart and funny and STRONG....( you didnt see that coming huh?) Know that I pray for you and Kelly every day and that I love you so much. Tell Kelly that I think she is amazing. I hope amd pray that I can be a wife as loving and devoted as her one day. God has definately demonstrated his power and strength in and through you in this situation. He has been so faithful to strengthen you and give you such a positive outlook on everything. He has been glorified in all that happened. I don't know how anyone could read this websight and not be amazed at all God has done. He must have amazing plans for you and Kelly! I love you and miss you tons and I can't wait to see you in Mississippi. Tell Kelly hey and that I love her too!

Ok - it's me again. XBOX to keep the brain strong....? I am going to have to talk to that Marine Dr. about the benefits of MATHEMATICS to keep the brain strong. Maybe the Marines aren't quite as smart as I thought...(or maybe they are smarter than I though HAHAHA!)
Look Aaron, I know your brain needs nourishment. go to
http://geometry.jdeer.com
and you can download TONS of worksheets, practice tests, etc for a good old day of geometry fun...who needs xbox!
Get well soon - if you need someone to hear some good southern talk after a day of all those yankees, call me COLLECT at (601) 264-7265. I will talk your ears off! If not, I can wait until you get home to do it!
Get getting well, and tell Kelly I can't wait to meet her.

Once you get halo 2 going make sure you get x-box live. Bo325 is online about five hours a day. It'd be good to hear your voice and be able to aide in your rehab. If you get live just send me a message and we'll play daily.
God Bless,
Bo
