OK, folks. Do us a big favor and help us settle a dispute. You've probably all played a popular children's game wherein the players make a fist, pound the fists twice and then choose one of three hand signals, either a piece of paper, scissors or a rock. Is this game called:
A) Rock, Paper, Scissors
or
B) Paper, Rock, Scissors.
This debate has reached gargantuan proportions in our home, and we cannot go on until we get it settled. Save our marriage. Vote in the comments section. I will let you know which one of us was right after we get your votes. But believe me, I'm right.

Rock, Paper, Scissors. I was there when the game was invented. It used to be called Rock, Rock, Rock.

A) Rock, Paper, Scissors
There's also a cool game where you take the other persons hands, move them around until they're loose then smack the person in the head. It was a favorite in the Lowry house...ask Lisa.

That sounds like an awesome game, too, Aunt Merry Lynn. I'll ask Aunt Lisa about it. Tim, we may have to start referring to it as "farkeling" after this. Semper Fi to you to, Sgt. Johnson, and I'm pleased to see that the armed forces are on my side in this one. I am SO going to rub this in. But really, keep the votes coming. Dan doesn't believe me!

rock, paper, scissors. Also known as "the most democratic way to settle an arguement." This simple method could solve all the world's problems.(best of five, at the most)

Sorry Haley, but I have to say paper, rock, scissors. But, I am from the midwest, and was transplanted to the South.

Seriously, Jon? If you grew up doing it that way, then maybe it's a Midwest thing and then I would actually feel a lot better about Dan having it out of order. I'm working on the theory that all that time living overseas when his dad was in the Air Force meant that Dan missed out on a few typical American kid things or got them turned around. Hmmm.

Know what? I'm starting to say paper first as well now. Not sure if it's due to this conversation or if I've always said it that way... However, I'm originally from the south and now a midwesterner. Confusing!
