Newspapers. Now there's something I understand.

I so love my industry. No complicated video clips, no tuning in, just words and pictures. It's so comforting. Check out this link to see the great story the Clarion Ledger wrote about yesterday. I see some familiar names in the story, and I'm glad they were able to talk to some of y'all. Enjoy your fame. :) I'm told there were also TV stations there, and if I can get tech-savvy enough to link to them, too, I will. Our thanks to the Clarion Ledger for taking the time to do a nice job on this story, and to all the news groups that were willing to come tell our story.

Dan Stubbs:

Aaron, Thank you for being a super fine young man and a hero marine. We appreciate you and love and admire you. Kelly, thank you too. You have been by Aaron's bedside since he arrived in the States and you have shared his hurt, pain, surgeries, and rehabilitation. I knew that Aaron was in good hands as long as you were by his side. Thanks for your sacrifies and thank you for being a super fine young lady. We love and admire you.

You both are a great couple and we just say "THANKS" to both of you.

Aunt Barb:

I was just about to send you a note about the clarion ledger! Fine minds think alike!

Jon Kane:

Haley,
You may want to check WDAM here in Hattiesburg. Aaron's arrival was on the 10 o'clock news last night.

Hey, Jon.
People told me about the WDAM broadcast, but it doesn't appear that they provide video feed on their Web site unless I'm mistaken. There's just this short written blurb on the site, which, in case anyone wants to see it, is www.wdam.com, but I can't find a place to actually watch video. Am I doing something wrong? I am way out of my league here. :)

Martin Rice:

The phone number for the business office of WAPT Channel 16 in Jackson is (601) 922-1607. I was called by a co-worker that lives in the Jackson office. He had seen the video on the news last night and again this morning. He knew who Aaron was from prior conversations between us. Great article.

Haley,

Here is the link to the Hattiesburg American article in Friday's paper (http://www.hattiesburgamerican.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050603/NEWS01/506030302&SearchID=7321031763940).

I was also told that you could call or write WDAM TV and get a VHS copy of the story they did on Aaron's arrival.

In addition, the hattiesburg American, which does a thumbs Up/Down on the editorial page, did a Thumbs Up article on Aaron in today's (sunday's) paper.

Now you can track all this down lol.
