Literacy-free zone.

Overheard in the Wachdorf home at 1 a.m. on a recent morning when Dan woke up to find the light in his bedroom STILL ON and his wife turning pages in the new Harry Potter book.

Dan: "OK, it's time to turn off the light and go to sleep now."
Haley: "No, I'm becoming well-read over here. You should be glad that I'm literate."
Dan: "You can be literate in any other room in the house if you want to, just not in bed. That's not what beds are for."

I still have about 300 pages left, so don't anyone tell me anything if you're ahead of me, which you probably are. (This means you Tim Smith, Daniel Meigs, Rebecca Tredway and Andy.) I promise to post something less geeky in the near future.

Though I was tempted to pick up a copy from Walmart Saturday, have no fear. I'm honored to be included in the list above, but I'm way, way behind the rest of you Potter-geeks.

I could so comment on Dan's last sentence... but I won't. ; )

Love you!

Haley:

Yeah, I know. What you're not commenting on is probably what he meant by that statement. :) Hurry and catch up, so we can talk about the new book!

Tim Smith:

No risk of me catching you... I'm only on chapter 5. Dan may be a great big kid, but at least he is more understanding than my 6-wek-old girl, who doesn't want to sit and let daddy read for more than 5 minutes.

If you post any spoilers, please give us the heads up so we can dodge the post. Thanks. :)

Dan:

That's not really what I said. But because little kids might read this, my line will be "No comment!".
