This is a photo of Rebecca and beautiful baby Livia, taken the weekend that I first met Miss Livia. Livia is the daughter of Rebecca, my friend of ten years since we were 15-year-olds at camp, and her husband Jeremy. They live in Nebraska, and View From the Prairie Box is their blog. For some time I have been meaning to start a sidebar linking to all the blogs I read, but I can't figure out how to do it. (Any pointers out there, blogging people?) So since I have mastered the art of linking to things in posts, and since Rebecca is one of my blogging heroes, I thought I would tempt you with more photos of this adorable child and her adorable mama. Enjoy.

I want a baby...in the wintertime. She's so cute in her little jacket...Hehe. That's right, because parenthood is all about dressing your baby and looking at how cute she is. I love you Haley, and I miss you. When will you come home again? Thanksgiving...ish...y?

I've never thought I looked like my grandmother Iola until... this photo! Very cool. Hannah, I must point out Livia's red coat, pink striped paints and blue socks weren't my idea of coordination, but it was colder at the lake than I had thought it would be. : ) And dressing my kiddo is one of my favorite things to do!

You're using Movable Type, right? I can help you set-up an sidebar that should be easy enough for you to edit. Rebecca and/or I will email or call with the details sometime this week. Take care and thanks for the tribute to my wonderful wife and daughter.

Haley, I decided to post the instructions as a web page, in case others were interested in the same info (go to http://www.thenine.com/mt-sidebar.php). If you find the instructions too spartan, feel free to email me with questions. Also, if you are hesitant in making changes to the template, then I could make them for you (just email me a copy of the template).
