This takes a little while to download, but it's hilarious. Watching it will actually save you some time at this busy time of year, because you won't have to drive around in your neigborhood looking for the tackiest light display. You'll already have seen the world champion. Thanks again to Mike, who linked this on his site, and from whom I am stealing.

This display was featured on The Today Show on Monday, December 5. The display is located in Mason, Ohio. It was made by Carson Williams, an engineer with a company that is a subsidiary of General Electric, which means he is not eligible for their "I'll Be Home for Christmas" competition. There are 25,000 light bulbs in the display which are only on from 6PM to 10 PM and blink a lot so they only add $150 to his electric bill for the month of December. He starts putting it together in October and turns it on at Thanksgiving. He learned how to do it from PlanetChristmas.com and ChristmasWonders.com. The music is broadcast on a low FM transmitter so that people can tune to it in their cars instead of having speakers on the lawn that would bother the neighbors.
