Why you and your spouse should not, under any circumstances watch multiple episodes of "Lost" before bed.

Because you and your spouse will both fall asleep and have extremely weird dreams for seven hours, at the end of which you will wake up while it is still dark and go to the bathroom. Which would be fine except that about 30 seconds later, your spouse, thinking you are still in bed, will get up and also go into the bathroom, and when he or she (OK, he) rounds the corner and finds you there, he will scream like a little girl, and so will you.

Not that I know this from personal experience or anything.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to watch one more episide of this cursed show before I go to bed and dream of the jungle.

I love this show! I'm going to buy the second season very, very soon! I watched the pilot last night for a new NBC show called Studio 60 on The Sunset Strip. Matthew Perry...Amanda Peet...It was very good. Check it out, you TV show freaks!

Cody:

I agree about Studio 60, it has a ton of promise (shamless plug for my review here: http://www.infuzemag.com/reviews/tv/archives/2006/09/studio_60_on_th.html) It looks like it could be a lot of fun.

As for Lost, with the exceptions of Veronica Mars, Battlestar Galactica, and the dearly-departed Arrested Development, nothing else is even in its league...what a show!!!

Dan:

What about firefly? That's up there too!

Cody:

That list was of current TV shows...if we add in past classics, then yes Firefly is also included. So are Titus, NewsRadio, Babylon 5, Due South, Red Dwarf, Fawlty Towers, The Office (BBC), Boomtown, Seinfeld, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Jeeves & Wooster, Homicide, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Sports Night, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, M*A*S*H, and The Twilight Zone.

Bryonie:

Thanks for the laugh, girlie - we watched a couple episodes of Miami Vice last night, which also lends itself to disturbing sleep experiences...
