My sister-in-law Dinah is in town and we are having too much fun for me to blog. But if you go to Rebecca's blog, you can read a pretty funny post from her about her daughter, Livia, and some of the more hilarious things she is saying these days.
See how useless I've become now that I've quit work?

The nice thing about children is that you no longer have to think of blogworthy items to post -- your kids provide 'em. ; )

Haley,
You are like my Truman show. I missed you when you were having difficulties. I'm glad you're back!
You do not know me, but we have some connections from Mississippi that I wrote you about a long time ago when Aaron first got hurt. My daughter Kelsey knows Aaron and Kelly.
Thanks for sharing your family story. It's one of the things I pray when I pray for our soldiers...that the kind of loving support of friends and family, as modeled for me by the Rice family, would spread like wildfire and be the norm for each and every wounded soldier. It's a good model.
Anyway, CONGRATULTIONS! You have a wonderfual journey ahead, and everything I can tell about you from your posts tells me that you and Dan will be amazing parents. My best to you.
My girls are now 21 and 15, both blessings beyond description. Enjoy every bit of it!
I have no bits of wisdom to share right now. There's something about your blog that makes me think of funny things, I guess because you obviously have a good sense of humor and an appreciation for all things absurb. So I want to share something my 15-year-old Alice said when she was about 3.
She happened to be in the bedroom when my husband was changing clothes. She stood back, crossed her arms and rubbed her chin with one hand, nodding her head and saying..."I think I know what yur problem is." He was intrigued to know that she thought he HAD a problem and proceeded to ask her what that was. Looking at his boxers, she replied. "you have the wrong kind of panties."
You'll have tons of stories of your very own soon. I bet I'll get to hear some of them.
Can't wait.
Take care.
